The ask
Axon, a leader in public safety technology, approached us with a new challenge: to build a platform not for law enforcement but for private citizens. The goal was to shift perception, extending their mission beyond security and into authentic community empowerment.
This platform needed to feel human, inclusive, and approachable. It had to showcase Axon’s community engagement efforts transparently, inviting everyday people to take action. This approach aimed to give citizens a sense of ownership and initiative over their own safety.
The platform was created to support Axon’s broader commitment to public engagement, enabling individuals to explore initiatives that promote safer, more connected communities.

The work
We collaborated closely with Axon’s marketing and content teams to reimagine how their brand could speak to communities. Through research and workshops, we extended their visual language, introducing warmer imagery, inclusive messaging, and storytelling that foregrounds their impact on real people.
To support these stories, we designed and developed custom content modules for community success stories, an interactive map to showcase local initiatives, and clear calls to action that encourage visitors to learn, engage, and get involved. On the backend, we delivered a full-stack solution featuring scalable architecture, a custom CMS, and SEO and accessibility integrated from day one. We crafted a streamlined navigation and intuitive content pathways to guide users through exploration without overwhelming them.
This was a true partnership. Axon brought deep domain expertise, while we provided strategic guidance on UX, design, and technical execution. Together, we transformed a conceptual idea into a fully realized platform for civic engagement.
The result
Axon Community Connect lays a strong foundation for lasting community relationships by fostering transparency and trust. Through intuitive design and innovative technology, it creates an accessible space where citizens feel informed, heard, and empowered to engage.
